Still Calling All Food Critics!

Pop Culture Cuisine would like to branch out and we need your help!  I am looking for people with the same passion for food as us to give their take on famous PCC worthy culinary hot spots they may have visited or will be visiting.  I am hoping to find some great spots that Adam and I have yet to visit that you can fill our readers in on, as well as give everyone a fresh "main street" perspective on these hyped places.  If you are interested, there are a few criteria I would ask that you follow…

Number 1. Make sure the place you feature is true to our definition of “Pop Culture.”  This means it is a restaurant you have seen featured on television or in some type of publication. Also, it could have been featured in a movie or is the restaurant of a famous personality. In short, it needs to be very evident in Popular Culture and means that loads of people have heard of it.  Please note that these places SHOULD NOT just be that great restaurant in your particular neighborhood. It’s not that these places aren’t good; believe me we enjoy those too. They just don’t really fit the mold of pop culture cuisine. However, if the restaurant has achieved a national focus…we’d love to hear about it!

Number 2. Give us your take on your full experience of that place. I enjoy hearing stories, so any funny anecdotes or memories from the experience are always great.

Number 3. Please include pictures…they really are worth 1000 words.

Number 4. Finally, please utilize the 5 ‘Little Piggy’ rating system. I will leave it up to you to interpret each section of Signature Dish, Taste, Ambiance, Service, and Price, however, it needs to be there so the restaurant can get an ultimate rating.  There are times when I am a bit harsh, but this will be your review, so I ask that you just be honest and share your own opinion.

If you are interested in submitting to PCC but are at a loss of some great resources to check out for inspiration, I recommend you check out this list:

FROM FOOD NETWORK:

  • Best Thing I Ever Ate
  • Throwdown with Bobby Flay
  • Outrageous Food

TRAVEL CHANNEL:

COOKING CHANNEL:

Any of these can be found on the web and are great lists of restaurants that are being featured daily in popular culture; and I am sure many are right near you!

I am hoping this will allow our readers to get a broader perspective of some great restaurants that are all around the country and not just from places we have been fortunate enough to visit.  If you are interested in submitting a guest post, please e-mail me first at POPCULTURECUISINE@GMAIL.COM to let me know your post idea so we can compile a list.  From there, I will contact you when you post goes live so you can look out for it. Thanks; and Adam and I look forward to reading all about your PCC experiences.
