For the LOVE of BBQ!

I wanted to start the blog off with a series of posts about a topic near and dear to my heart…BBQ, specifically ribs!  BBQ has always been something I enjoy, however I do not think my passion for it took off until we moved to Dallas in 2008.  I mean it is really hard to not become a fan when you live in a city that inundates you with it around every corner.  Not only do I enjoy eating BBQ, I LOVE the entire experience, from the laid back atmosphere, to the smells, getting your hands dirty, and the overall down home feel. Now that is not to say that I have no taste buds and love every place we have tried, rather I think in trying so many of these spots I have acquired a more heightened opinion on the matter.  Since Adam and I love to travel we have often incorporated as many BBQ spots as we can because we especially like to try out the large variety of regional differences.  It is amazing to me that just based on a city you can find so many ways of preparing meat…dry rubs, sauce, no sauce, smoked, cured, woods involved, charcoal, beef, pork, vinegar, and the list can go on and on.  So over the next few weeks I will be featuring  a variety of these BBQ joints we have been to, by region, that have also been featured on either the Food Network or Travel Channel, starting with the great state of Tennessee.  It will be finger-lickin’ good…I promise!
